You must continue to learn or your business will become stagnate. This is for all businesses not just the Internet Marketing niche but do you have to join a coaching program or get a mentor to do this?

Most likely a coaching program or mentorship will help you but from personal experience I can tell you that you need to get in to the right type of program to significantly increase your income. I have been involved in a lot of coaching programs and some worked better then others for me but overall I have brought in a lot more then I spent.

That doesn't mean that coaching would be right for you. How much you get out of coaching will depend a lot on YOU!

* What your expectations are and what level you are at.

* How well you relate to your coach.

* How much effort you put in to the program.

* How much believe you have in the program.

Your Expectations - Your expectations must match your level of knowledge. You can't go into an advanced coaching program, not knowing anything, and expect to be profiting next week. Your coaching program needs to reflect your level of experience and move you on to the next level.

If you are just starting out you will need a coaching program that will teach you all the basic strategies that you will need to get started. These will be things like outsourcing, getting a website up and running, product creation, lead generation, traffic and the list goes on.

If you are just starting out I would recommend for coaching that you find a coaching program with a low price point that lasts 3 to 6 months. This will be long enough for you to learn a ton of information, but more importantly, to put it into action while you are still in the coaching program. By taking this action if you have any problems you should be able to ask your coach and by all means if you have a problem ask your coach, that is what they are there for.

Relating to Your Coach - Before you join any coaching program check out the person or people running it, sign up to their list(s), read their blog(s) and review their products and sites. Make sure that your prospective coach is some one that you can relate to, by this is should be someone that you respect, admire, has the same ethical view point as you and is further along in the process then you are.

You don't necessarily need a "Guru" as a coach but you do need someone that is at least a little farther down the road then you are. Most of the time you can actually relate to a person that is closer to where you are then with a person all the way at the top of the marketing food chain.

How Much You Work At It - Yes, you will have to put some effort in to your coaching program. Just like with everything else the more you put in to it the more you will get out of it.

You should have some projects assigned by your coach through the program. Don't skimp on the effort you put into the projects. If you just do the minimum necessary to finish the project you will only get the minimum out of the coaching program. Do the projects and do them again until you understand the purpose of the project as well as you coach does. Maybe even better.

Believe - Your mental approach to coaching is more important than any other aspect. You must believe you are going to get the results that you set up in your expectations.

If you don't believe that the coaching program you are looking at will move you closer to your goals and I mean believe 100% then don't join the coaching program.

Belief in your coaches' sales copy or sales pitch is also important. If the sales page for the coaching program says you will be making $100 per day at the end of the program and you don't truly believe it then why would you sign up for it. I know it is hard to put the emotion of a sales pitch aside and think logically, but if you want the most bang for your buck you need to truly believe the pitch.
