Creativity isn't just something those artsy aesthetics types have. Creativity is a learned skill and you can develop it. Creativity can be a skill that leads to improved sales techniques and increased sales for you. It's really just a thought process that produces ideas that you use to achieve desired outcomes. You have to have a positive attitude to become creative. And you to allow yourself to be creative.
A lot of creativity is inspired by observing how resources are used in different ways in different industries. Something that works well in another industry may work well in your industry too. And if you're for the first person to see this relationship you've just created a unique position in your market place.
You are not only a sales person, but a buyer too. Begin to view every buying experience as a live learning lab. Based on your experiences what buying experience could you or would you want to create for your buyers?
What about those horrible buying experiences that you've lived through. The ones you wouldn't wish on your least favorite person. Would there be value in assuring your buyers that they'd never have an experience like that with you? If your actions backed up your promise would it be easier for you to gain their trust and establish rapport?
Have you ever had a really fun buying experience? Collect ideas from your fun experiences and find a way to incorporate some of those ideas into your marketing or sales experience. You can establish great relationships quickly when you make things fun. As an added bonus your buyers will tell others about their experience making them want to have that fun experience too.
You have to believe in yourself to succeed in sales and to be creative. Give yourself a chance to be creative. Soon you'll find it's easy to be creative because you know your customers and you know your service. Knowing the big reason people buy will help you to connect that big reason with a creative idea that leads to increased sales.
If you let it, fear will stop your creativity. Can you think of a creative question to ask that would really get your prospects attention? Is there a creative way to position yourself differently than the competition? How could you creatively reach out and connect with your best prospects? Better sales techniques can help you to become a top producer and the tools below may help.
