When you are in the vending machine business there are plenty of small issues that can become big problems if you aren't careful. One that fits well into that category is the issue of moving the vending machines. You may have a new location for one and have to transport it. You may be replacing one or even just moving it to a better location if the one you current have isn't working out like you had anticipated.

If you have great vending machine locations then you won't need to move them very often. Yet you will need to get them into the initial location as well as moving them when you are ready to upgrade with newer machines. Knowing how to safely move the vending machines is a very important part of this type of business.

Never attempt to move a vending machine by yourself as this is just asking for problems to occur. You can hire someone to help you or you can ask a good friend to lend you a hand. Still, you may find that even with two people on the job the vending machine is just too heavy to safely move. Be smart about it instead of macho and you will benefit more from the process. Grab a dolly that you can slide underneath the vending machine and be on your way.

A truck with a bed or even a trailer that is attached to the truck is going to be needed to get the vending machines loaded and unloaded. If you don't have one of your own then you will need to make plans to either rent one or borrow one. A trailer is easier if you can get your hands on one though as they sit lower to the ground then a truck bed does. This reduces the height that you will be required to lift the vending machine.

The perfect option though is a pickup that features a hydraulic lift. You can use the dolly to take the vending machine to the pickup. Then the lift is activated to take the item to the bed without you having to lift it. Make sure you take the time to always secure the vending machine down to the tools as well as to the place where you will be transporting it.

You may be able to remove yourself from the entire process though if you can find an affordable moving company in your area. Many of the smaller ones have the time to do small jobs like that for local people. They also have their own equipment so that will help if you haven't invested in anything yet to help you with moving the vending machines. Make sure you know the price they will charge though before the vending machine is moved so you don't end up with more of an expense than you had anticipated.

When it comes to moving vending machines you need to be very smart about it. You need to make sure you have enough people for the weight of it. Some vending machines are simply bulky so it makes it hard to handle them as well. You don't want to get hurt as serious injuries to your back and other body parts can occur.

Safety is always the first priority when it comes to moving vending machines. You need to protect yourself first and then your vending machine. Do your best to keep all of the equipment free from scratches and dents. If you are using the right safety equipment there is no reason for them to be dropped either.
