Three Ways to Quickly Get Targeted Traffic to Your Website

Anyone that's been around the internet marketing block has heard or has realized that traffic generation is an ongoing affair. This part of the business is definitely not set it and forget it. What some marketers haven't grasped is that traffic generation in and of itself is incomplete. See the traffic generation has to be targeted. You want to expose your website to visitors that will be inclined to act because they want what you have to offer. So how do we corral this soon to be captive audience?

Let's start with three proven methods that have been effective in targeting my traffic and getting them to view my websites. Do these correctly and they won't let you down.

Forum Marketing Method

This is a proven method that can work quickly. It is highly effective for generating targeted traffic but you must play by the rules.

You have to build trust and relationships. You do this by contributing value to the threads (ongoing conversations). Members can then decide if they like and trust you and if they do they will be more inclined to do business with you and visit your website(s). With a few hundred posts, newbies will start to see you as an authority in the forum and they will be more apt to do business with you.

Article Marketing Method

One of the most effective methods of generating targeted traffic and a must in the marketers toolkit. You'll need time and lots of articles for this to be effective, but if done correctly, you will not be disappointed. Design a plan of attack and follow it.

Make a list of the long tailed keywords that you'd like to rank for. Fifty should be enough to start. Write an article for each keyword. Rewrite the article a few times because you'll want to submit a unique version to each of the directories that you have selected. The resource box at the end of each article should point to a page deep within your website using the anchor text that you want to rank for. Over time you will see many unique visitors, backlinks from the article directories and you will rank higher in the search engines.

Video Marketing Method

This one can work in a couple of minutes after uploading the video. So get ready. Record a video 2 to 3 minutes long. If you're not ready for prime time and don't want to be in the video do a slide show presentation... with audio please.

Watermark your URL so that it appears throughout the duration. Do not use those long affiliate links. Get yourself a domain name and redirect your viewer to the merchant page if that is your plan.

What goes on the video? Read a free report, that is relevant to your niche, aloud into the microphone with the bullet or main points as part of the slide show. Use your imagination but remember the time frame... no longer than 3 minutes.
